Firefighters Tackle Flat Fire in Paisley

Firefighters raced to a flat fire in Paisley earlier today after emergency services were called to an incident on George Street.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched three fire appliances, including a high-reach appliance, to a property at 97 George Street following reports of smoke within a flat.

Crews attended the scene and worked to bring the incident under control, with emergency vehicles remaining in the area while firefighters carried out their operations.

A neighbour told local media that, fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries as a result of the fire.

The extent of the damage to the property is not yet known though one hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire, and the cause of the fire has not been confirmed.

Firefighters remained at the scene for a period of time as they ensured the area was safe and carried out checks following the incident.
