Female driver traced after single-vehicle crash in Paisley
Police have confirmed that no driver was at the scene when officers arrived following a crash in Paisley this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Oakshaw Street East, near School Wynd, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, after reports of a single-vehicle collision.
When officers attended, the female driver of the vehicle had already left the scene.
A short time later, a woman was traced nearby. Police confirmed she has been charged in connection with road traffic offences. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.10pm on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, we received a report of a single-vehicle crash on Church Hill in Paisley.
“Emergency services attended however the driver had left the scene. A woman was traced nearby a short time later and charged in connection with road traffic offences. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
