A third person has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 53-year-old man in Paisley earlier this week.
Emergency services were called to George Street at around 8pm on Monday, 13 July, 2026, following reports of a disturbance in which a man was seriously injured.
The 53-year-old victim was taken to hospital, where his condition is currently described as serious but stable.
Police Scotland has now confirmed that a 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 17 July, 2026.
The latest arrest follows the earlier charging of an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man in connection with the same incident.
Police enquiries into the attempted murder remain ongoing.
