Scottish Water engineers are currently carrying out emergency repairs to a burst water main that has disrupted water supplies for customers across parts of the PA3 area of Paisley.
The burst has been located on Greenhill Road, where repair teams are working to restore supplies as quickly and safely as possible.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area if they can, as the ongoing repair work is expected to cause traffic delays on Greenhill Road while engineers complete the essential work.
Scottish Water has said it expects repairs to be completed by around 1.30pm. Once the damaged water main has been repaired, water supplies will be gradually restored to affected homes and businesses. Customers are advised that it may take some time for water pressure to return to normal after the repair has been completed.
A Scottish Water spokesperson said: “Our teams are working hard to complete the repair as quickly and as safely as possible. We understand the inconvenience this causes and sincerely appreciate our customers’ patience and understanding while we work to resolve the issue.”
Residents experiencing a loss of water supply or low water pressure are encouraged to remain patient while the repair work is carried out.
