A few Paisley residents out walking and jogging were treated to a royal surprise today as the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, were spotted travelling through the north end of Paisley on their way to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.





The royal couple, both aged 44, were accompanied by their three children – Prince George, 13, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 – making it a memorable family outing during their summer break.
William and Kate are known as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay when in Scotland.
The visit is particularly significant as it marks the first official public appearance of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in Scotland. While the Wales family has previously spent private time north of the border, this is the first time the three young royals have been seen carrying out an official public engagement in the country.
Paisley’s best-loved social media page, Paisley Photographs, was there to exclusively capture the first official public appearance of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in Scotland as they travelled through Paisley en route to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.





Although their time in Paisley was brief as they passed through en route to Glasgow, the unexpected sighting delighted royal watchers and local residents alike, with many hoping to catch a glimpse of the future King and his family.
The Prince and Princess of Wales joined spectators at the Netball semi-final match at the Hydro arena with the eyes of the sporting world firmly on Scotland.
