Drivers are being warned to expect delays on the M8 eastbound after a vehicle caught fire near the Arkleston area of Paisley this evening.

Emergency services attended the scene, where the vehicle was fully involved in flames. The fire has now been extinguished, however the incident continues to affect traffic.

The M8 eastbound is currently reduced to two lanes while the vehicle is recovered and the carriageway is made safe. Motorists travelling through the area should allow extra time for their journeys and be prepared for delays.
