It’s great to see real progress being made on the transformation of Paisley High Street, with the binder course – the first layer of tarmac – now being laid today.
The binder course forms the strong foundation of the new road surface, providing durability and support before the final wearing course is applied. While it may not be the finished look, it’s an important milestone in the resurfacing works and a clear sign that the project is moving forward.
The improvements are part of ongoing investment in Paisley town centre, with the aim of creating smoother, safer roads for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians alike.
