Motorists who were preparing for this weekend’s planned resurfacing works on the Erskine Bridge will have a little longer to wait after the works were postponed because of forecast adverse weather.
The scheduled southbound resurfacing, which was due to take place this weekend, has now been moved to the contingency weekend.
The resurfacing will now take place from:
📅 8.00pm on Friday 14 August
➡️ Until 6.00am on Monday 17 August 2026
All other arrangements, including the planned diversion routes, will remain exactly as previously published. Updated communications are expected to be issued ahead of the revised closure.
If you’re planning to travel across the bridge next weekend, it’s worth allowing extra time for your journey and checking for the latest traffic updates before setting off.
Were the planned closures going to affect your journey this weekend, or will next weekend be more disruptive for you? Let us know in the comments and please share this post to help keep others informed.
