Road policing officers carried out a road check on Main Road, Elderslie, on Friday, 7 August 2026, resulting in a number of road traffic offences being detected.

During the operation, officers stopped vehicles to carry out routine checks. Several motorists were found to be committing road traffic offences, while others were given advice and education to help improve road safety and ensure they remain compliant with traffic laws.

Road policing checks such as these are carried out to improve safety for everyone using Scotland’s roads by identifying offences, educating drivers and helping to reduce the risk of collisions.

Police have not released details of the specific offences detected during the operation.
