Firefighters are tonight battling a blaze beneath the Woodside Viaduct at Burnside Street in Glasgow.

A large plume of smoke can be seen billowing over the viaduct as emergency crews work to bring the fire under control.

Motorway traffic is currently continuing to move, despite the heavy smoke in the area.

At this stage, it is unclear exactly what is on fire but it appears it might be a van . Buildings in the immediate vicinity appear to be unaffected, although the situation is still developing.
