Fire crews were called to a grassed area beside Ferguslie Sports Centre this evening following reports of a car fire.

The incident was reported at around 5.30pm, with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatching two fire engines to tackle the blaze.

Crews attended the scene and dealt with the fire.

Further details, including the cause of the fire, have not yet been confirmed although its believed to have been burned out by youths according to locals
