Road policing officers are appealing following a serious crash on Foxbar Road at the junction with Gleniffer Road in Paisley.

The incident happened around 9.45pm on Saturday, 12 September, and involved a grey Vauxhall Corsa and an orange off road bike.

Emergency services attended and the bike rider, a 19-year-old man, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with life threatening injuries. His condition is described as serious.

The car driver, a 22-year-old woman, was taken to hospital to be checked over.

Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.

“In particular we are keen to speak to the rider of another orange off road bike who was present at the time of the crash as they may have vital information that could assist with our investigation.

“If you were driving in the area around the time please check any dash-cam footage to see if something has been captured that could assist officers.”
