A 45-year-old dad who died after being struck by a car on the M8 near Glasgow Airport has been named locally as Tony Montgomery.
Emergency services were called to the motorway late on Sunday, September 13, after police received a report that a male pedestrian had been struck by a black Mini Cooper near Paisley.
Despite the efforts of emergency crews, Tony was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed that his next of kin had been informed and that no other injuries were reported.
Tony, from Dumbarton, is understood to leave behind his wife, Louise, and his daughters, Chloe and Murrin.
News of his death has prompted an outpouring of grief, with tributes being paid to the father following the devastating incident.
His family are now facing the heartbreaking loss of a husband and dad.
