Arkleston Road in Paisley has reopened following a report of a possible piece of historic ordnance.

The incident was reported to police at around 1.45pm on Thursday, 17 September 2026, prompting a response from emergency services.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specialists attended the scene and made the item safe.

The road has now reopened to traffic following the incident.
