Resurfacing work at Linwood Toll appears to be progressing well, with the roundabout where the B789 meets Ferguslie and the A761 Linwood Road now resurfaced and going through its curing process.
The latest progress will be welcome news for motorists who regularly use this busy junction, with hopes growing that a partial reopening of the roundabout could soon be announced.
Meanwhile, the road leading towards Elderslie on the B789 has been lifted, with the surface now awaiting the start of resurfacing work.
Motorists will be hoping that the roundabout can be partially reopened as soon as it is safe to do so, allowing traffic to travel between Ferguslie and the A761 Linwood Road in both directions once again.
With the roadworks progressing, attention will eventually turn to the finishing touches, including repairs to the fencing and the restoration of the bridge graphics, which could help brighten up this section of Paisley.
For now, road users will be keeping a close eye on developments and waiting for an update on when some movement through Linwood Toll might be restored.
