Jeremy Clarkston Filming

Jeremy Clarkson was looking in great form as he arrived in Renfrewshire today to film a new project, just days after ITV confirmed his return to television.

The broadcaster recently announced that Clarkson will continue as host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, with a further 35 episodes commissioned, ensuring one of the channel’s biggest entertainment shows remains a fixture on screens.

But there was no time to “phone a friend”, go “50:50” or “ask the audience” when Clarkson’s distinctive £160K Land Rover rolled onto the set at the Scottish Leather Group’s headquarters in Bridge of Weir shortly after 11am.

After around three months of planning, the carefully choreographed shoot lasted only around three minutes before Clarkson was swiftly escorted inside to continue filming.

Once the Bridge of Weir scenes were complete, the production moved on to the Scottish Leather Group’s facility on Renfrew Road in Paisley, where filming continued.

Although the purpose of the production has yet to be officially revealed although leather and cars are a certain connection, Clarkson’s visit attracted plenty of interest, with his appearance coming at a time when fans are celebrating news of Jeremy now in remission from prostate cancer and the continued television career.

It was a brief visit, but one that brought a touch of television star power to Renfrewshire as cameras rolled at two of the area’s best-known manufacturing sites.
