Police Launch Appeal After Fatal Crash In Paisley.

Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in Paisley.

The incident, involving a silver Ford Fiesta and a male pedestrian happened around 10.15pm on Saturday, 11 March, 2023, on Causeyside Street, Paisley.

Emergency services attended and the 37-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other reports of any injuries.

The road was closed for around six and a half hours whilst a full collision investigation was carried out and re-opened around 5am.

Sergeant Christopher Hoggans said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died in this crash and out enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

“We are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who was in the area prior to the incident and who may be able to help to contact us.

“Two vehicles stopped to assist at the time and left prior to speaking with officers. I would appeal to those drivers and occupants to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone with any dash cam footage or private CCTV which may assist us to contact us.”
