A much-loved Paisley name is set to return next month as Café Royale Bistro Deluxe prepares to open its doors at 71 Glasgow Road.
The new restaurant will officially open on Wednesday, 28 October, under the ownership of acclaimed chef Ferrier Richardson M.C.G.B., a former Scottish Chef of the Year.
Ferrier brings an impressive culinary CV to Paisley, having cooked for royalty, presidents, Hollywood stars and football legends. He has also held executive chef positions at renowned establishments including Rogano, The Buttery and One Devonshire Gardens.
He is also the bestselling author of Glasgow on a Plate.
The restaurant occupies the former Caffe Royale premises, and Ferrier has chosen to retain the Café Royale name as a mark of respect for the reputation built up by previous owner Colin Guthrie.
Despite the name, Ferrier is keen to stress that Café Royale Bistro Deluxe will not be an Italian restaurant.
The menu will feature a mixture of European and Asian-inspired dishes, while pizzas will also be available.
👨‍🍳 STAFF WANTED
The new restaurant is currently recruiting chefs, along with full-time and part-time front-of-house staff.
Anyone interested in joining the team can apply by emailing a short résumé to vickimelvin@icloud.com.
With such an experienced chef taking over the Glasgow Road premises, it will be interesting to see what Café Royale Bistro Deluxe brings to Paisley.
We wish Ferrier and his team every success with the new venture. 👏
