Filming for a new Sky Original drama series starring BAFTA-winning actor James McAvoy is set to get underway in Paisley from today, with production scheduled to take place on several dates throughout June 2026.
The incident happened on Causeyside Street on Saturday, February 21, 2026, on what was a dark and wet night in the town. The crash involved a bus and two pedestrians.
Police conducted an operation in Paisley town centre on George Street, involving approximately four police cars and two vans. Officers were present for about an hour while witnesses observed them entering a close. Although the operation attracted local attention, there was no apparent disruption and no details on arrests or the incident’s nature.
Police cordoned off Paisley High Street following reported break-ins at the High Street Post Office and Poundstretcher early on Thursday morning. Officers arrived at 6.05am, conducting forensic investigations after entry was gained to Poundstretcher and an attempted break-in at the Post Office. Police enquiries are ongoing.
